Prof. Mustafa Nur Elhuda Suleiman is a distinguished professor of medicine and renowned consultant nephrologist with an impressive career spanning over four decades. His expertise extends to both clinical practice and teaching, where he has actively engaged with undergraduate and postgraduate students. Proficient in his field, he holds fellowship status with the three Royal Colleges of Physicians in the U.K., showcasing his commitment to excellence.
With a significant impact on the medical landscape in Dubai and the north Emirates, Prof. Suleiman is a pioneer in establishing nephrology services and introducing groundbreaking extracorporeal blood purification procedures, including haemodialysis, haemoperfusion, and plasmapheresis. His contributions have been widely acknowledged through numerous peer-reviewed publications in esteemed international journals, and he has authored several chapters in medical textbooks. Notably, Prof. Suleiman edited five volumes of the book "Glomerular Diseases," further solidifying his position as an authority in his field.
A founding member of SDS, Prof. Suleiman played a crucial role in launching the stand-alone haemodialysis program in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, he spearheaded the development and initiation of the ongoing home haemodialysis program in Dubai, further illustrating his commitment to advancing nephrology services and patient care.
